Jack Beck (Celtic Musician) Wendy Welch (Storyteller)

Jack Beck is an acclaimed performer of Scots traditional songs and ballads. He is a recording artist and workshop leader with over 40 years of experience.

Wendy Welch holds a Doctorate in Folklore from Memorial University of Newfoundland is a renowned storyteller and a published writer.

Acoustic Swing Band
(Music from the 20’s, 30’s and 40’s) -
Known for their lively and innovative approach to the swing genre, have been performing together for over four years. They have been recognized and applauded for their commitment for reviving popular songs of the past in a professional and entertaining format.

Johnson County Chorale & CanJoe*John
The Johnson County Chorale’s program is inspired by the Stephen Foster song “Hard Times Come Again No More.” The program will highlight Yankee Doodle, The Battle Hymn of the Republic, Over There, Happy Days are Here Again, Sentimental Journey and many more.

CanJoe*John, the "world's most unique musician, plays the world's most unique musical instrument, the canjoe." Awarded the adult 2007 "Bluegrass Instrumentalist of the Year" by the North American Country Music Association International (NACMAI), and having the distinction of being the first and only canjoe picker to ever perform on the Grand Ole Opry, he has literally taken his one-stringed thing, his canjoe musical instrument, to the outer limits!

All performances are Sundays from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Cover Ridge Center Auditorium at Natural Tunnel State Park.

Art works by local artists will be displayed for each event starting at 2:00 P.M.

The single event price is $8. Students are $4. Tickets are available at the door.
