A Shape Note Weekend
Friday – 6:30 – 9:00
We will spend Friday evening learning some of the history of the tradition. We will also learn the Rudiments of the music – the names of the seven shapes, time signatures and rhythm basics. And we will sing from “The Christian Harmony.”

Books will be available for purchase ($20 – NOT REQUIRED). We will supply needed materials

Saturday: 9:30 – 3:00

We will begin with a review of the Friday material and then spend the rest of the day singing. At noon we stop for dinner. Usually this is a covered dish dinner, which is a major attraction at all day singings. We won’t be doing that this time.

You may bring your own meal. Or a box lunch can be purchased for $7.00.

When you register, please indicate if you will be buying a lunch.
Payment can be made on Friday or Saturday.

Registration: There is no charge, but please contact either of the persons listed below. We need the following information.
